Ex-Premier League striker Saido Berahino has revealed he would be willing to join Wrexham to take part in Ryan Reynolds' and Rob McElhenney's project.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Berahino revealed in a question and answer session on X, formerly Twitter, that he would be open to making the move to the Welsh club this summer once his contract at Limassol expires. He has been with the Cypriot club since 2022 but has scored just four goals in 44 games, and his deal ends at the end of the season.

  Berahino scored 23 goals in the Premier League for West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City, while he was the subject of interest from Tottenham in 2015, as they saw a £15 million ($19m) bid rejected. He eventually moved to the Potters, after being hit with a drug ban due to a positive test for MDMA. He has since played for Zulte Waregem and Charleroi in Belgium, as well as Sheffield Wednesday and now Limassol.

  Berahino was asked if he would be willing to play in League One with Wrexham and simply replied: "Why not?"

  Wrexham already have Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer on their books, but they may well be convinced to have a look at Berahino if he is willing to make the move. Director Humphrey Ker has already confirmed that they would be willing to do a deal for Jamie Vardy were the Leicester striker to become available.
