The teenage winger, who was part of the Blues' academy until last season, has now completed a move to their rivals Liverpool. After joining the Reds, the 16-year-old shared a short yet sweet farewell message to his former team.

WHAT RIO NGUMOHA SAID
Taking to Instagram, Ngumoha shared some throwback photographs from his early days at the West London club and wrote in the caption: "Thank you for everything Chelsea Academy."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ngumoha was named Player of the Tournament last October when the Blues' U16 side won the national championship. Impressed by his consistent performances, the player was promoted to the club's U21 side in January 2024.

WHAT NEXT FOR RIO NGUMOHA?
The young winger, who accepted the Reds' offer of a scholarship, will join the club's U18 side for now.
